Mission Statement:

With God's help Emmanuel Baptist Church aims to be:

A Community of Love,

where we are committed to maintain relationships with each other, characterised by love, trust, honesty and forgiveness and to encourage and build up one another in Christ, whilst sharing the Father's love with other.

A Community of Prayer,

earnest and sacrificial, private and corporate, springing from humility and a continual acknowledgement of our weakness and total dependence on the Spirit in everything we do: worship, use of gifts, evangelism, community service.

A Community of the Word,

confessing that taught by the Spirit the Bible is authoritative guide for doctrine, practice, service and holy living, seeking to be doers not just hearers of the Word, with our hearts and minds increasingly "scripturated.

A Community of Witness,

believing that evangelism, social action, mission and personal witness to those not-yet-Christians is its heartbeat and primary purpose, endeavouring to move individually and collectively into the local community and beyond as Christ's mouth, hands and feet, longing that everybody should become devoted disciples of Jesus.
