Emmanuel Baptist Church

Prayer life

Our Prayer life is very important to us and is the backbone of how we operate as a church. We have regular prayer meetings every day of the week.

AN INVITATION:

If you would like someone to pray with, or want to ask someone to pray for you or a situation please talk to us. You can ring the church office – 01929 427706 - and leave a message at anytime and if requested, someone will contact you.

As a people of the Christian faith we are concerned to build both the individual and corporate prayer life of the Church into a more powerful and dynamic force. We believe that it is mainly through prayer that the guidance and will of God for our lives can be known. Therefore prayer should be an important part of our lives individually and together. Therefore a range of meetings exist not only for those who need to pray through the burdens that they believe have been given to them, but also as an encouragement for those who want to catch the spirit and joy of praying and come to know God’s leading for their own lives.

There are a number of ways for you to connect with us in prayer:

Prayer Vine – is a network of people who have committed themselves to pray for emergency situations as they arise.  If you need to get the group praying for a situation contact Win Allen on 01929 424732.

Daily Prayers – come to Howard Road Church every weekday, except Tuesday, at 9.00am or ring through your request to the Church office on 01929 427706.

Tuesday Intercessory Prayers – at 14 Hoburne Park, Swanage every Tuesday at 9am. Please contact Win Allen on 01929 424732.

Powerpoint – a monthly Prayer meeting for the whole church at our Victoria Avenue site on the fourth Monday of the month at 7.30pm. Each time a different aspect of the ongoing work of the Church is highlighted alongside time to focus on current concerns and situations.

Join one of our Home Groups.  Our Home Groups always spend time in prayer when they meet.
