Emmanuel Baptist Church

 Visitors – come on in!

Emmanuel has developed a reputation over the years as a friendly and welcoming church.

The population of Swanage swells in the summer months and we are used to welcoming many new faces through our doors, sometimes just for a weekend, sometimes for a couple of weeks. Some folks we get to know over the years as they return time and time again for their summer holidays. Many of our members have found it difficult to go back and have moved to the town permanently, through early retirement, or a change in life style….

                     Every Sunday:        9.30    Traditional worship
                                                  10.30  Refreshments
                                                  11.00  Contemporary Worship

Our "rolling" service allows both traditional and contemporary worship. The earlier service is quieter and includes more traditional worship songs. There is preaching in both services, normally given by our Minister, but occasionally another speaker, and may be on a specific theme or part of a series.

Facilities for creche, children and younger people are only available at the 11.00 service.  There is a crèche for children under 3, Sparklers for ages 3-5, Jigsaw for ages 5-7 and YPs for ages 7-13.

In between the two services, at 10.30, we meet as a united church for half an hour with tea, coffee and biscuits and lots of fellowship exchanging news and views of current events, so if you are a visitor come along at 10.30 and say hello!
